Franklin Township Recreation Committee Releases Recreation Survey - Opens 9/6/24

Franklin Township is developing a new Five-Year Recreation Plan for 2025-2029. Members of the public are being asked to fill out a survey to determine recreation habits and recreation site usage in Franklin Township. The survey’s goal is to collect information on the types of recreational opportunities and sites community members would like to see developed, maintained, and/or enhanced. This information will help prioritize funding and increase the Township’s understanding of community recreation needs. 

The survey also gives the public an opportunity to give feedback or suggestions on the proposed improvements to recreation sites in Franklin Township. Individuals can fill out the survey online or on paper. You can access a paper copy from Franklin Township Hall (399 Quincy St. Hancock) or the Portage Lake Public Library (501 Campus Dr., Hancock and 58 Huron St. Houghton). Public responses are due October 4, 2024 and are confidential; survey results will be included in the final draft of the 2025-2029 Five-Year Recreation Plan.
