RTF13A Rural Task Force Meeting

A meeting of the Region 13A Rural Task Force will be held 10:00 A.M. Eastern, November 22, 2022, at the Houghton County Road Commission office, 20140 Gagnon Cir, Hancock, MI 49930.

The purpose of the meeting will be to review and discuss transportation improvement projects funded with federal transportation dollars (Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act) and state economic development funds (TEDF Category D) for fiscal years 2023 – 2026. Projects eligible for funding include transit capital projects and road/bridge construction on roads within Baraga, Houghton, and Keweenaw Counties, which are located outside the urbanized area. The road must be classified as rural minor collector or higher.

The Task Force is comprised of one MDOT member, three members from each county representing the road commission, cities, and villages under 5,000 population, and the area transit provider.
